Problem Statement

Problem Statement

Many young learners struggle to stay engaged with traditional education methods, and parents or educators lack effective tools to track and encourage both academic progress and healthy habits. Existing platforms often fail to balance fun, engagement, and educational value, leading to low adoption and inconsistent outcomes.

Our challenge is to design an engaging, playful platform that combines habit formation, gamification, and progress tracking to foster learning and personal growth for children, while providing actionable insights for parents and educators.

Primary Research

Primary Research

As we focus on children's health, we find more and more studies showing health problems such as childhood obesity, consuming too much junk food, and having too much screen time. Behind these phenomena are various social and family factors. Unfortunately, children's formative years are also the time when they are most susceptible to external influences and bad habits. These habits will most likely grow with them and cause more serious health problems.

The Habikey System

The Habikey System

Habikey connects a parent’s app with a child’s smartwatch, forming a seamless loop between goal-setting, reminders, and habit tracking. Parents set and monitor goals through the app, while the smartwatch gently guides children with a friendly interface and playful mascots designed to make routines feel engaging and fun. This dynamic promotes consistent habit formation while also deepening parent-child communication.
